Evaluation of International Notes

Metropolitan International University evaluates and accepts the transfer of credits based on the philosophy that students will not be required to repeat courses in which competencies are already mastered. The credits to be transferred must be official, the transfer credit (s) for the use of an unofficial transcript will not be valid until it becomes an official transcript and is received by MIU.

An official transcript is sent directly to the Registrar’s MIU of the issuing educational institution. The Issuing Institution must be accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Secretariat of Education or the Council for the Accreditation of Higher Education (CHEA), or its equivalent abroad.

Metropolitan International University receives credit transfer on a course-by-course basis, for courses with equivalent content and value matched to the corresponding MIU course (s). After the evaluation has been successfully completed, an Evaluation Representative will prepare a personalized curriculum of the remaining courses that are necessary for graduation, known as the Degree Plan, based on the documents received at the time of the evaluation .
