Master in Project Management

Program description

The Master in Project Management at Metropolitan International University has been developed based on the premise that the successful development of a project depends largely on a frontline management, or what is the same: a quality organization, appropriate planning , control and completion of the project.

In the vast majority of cases, project managers or leaders are only involved in technical aspects, neglecting the critical component that is management. This has consequences that are reflected in delays, costs and dissatisfaction that usually leads to business loss. Therefore, improving the training and practice of project management is one of the most important and critical needs of those who are responsible for carrying out any type of project. Well-directed projects are a guarantee of successful projects, which in turn helps to structure successful companies.

According to the Project Management Institute (PMI), managing a project is the “art of directing and coordinating human and material resources throughout the life cycle of a project, through the use of techniques current management, to obtain the predetermined objectives of scope, costs, time, quality and satisfaction of the participant ”. (http://www.pmi.org/)
